Qualifier 1.3 Recap
WOW, seriously, the competition has really stepped it up! Personally, I thought this round’s beers were collectively some of the best we had. Congrats to all the brewers!
I really had a hard time choosing my favorite!
The Rosemary Saison was like nothing I’ve ever had, and I love Saisons! The Black Pilsner was also a unique beer like none I’d ever had, and I loved it! The Red Rye also got great reviews from everyone. Perfect color, delicious and balanced… Nice work to everyone!
The top 3 beers of the night were hard to pick, but in the top: MN Wild Rice Imperial Mild, a German Wiezen, and the night’s top pick by Kyle Sisco, a German Pilsner!
Honestly Kyle, your pilsners was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was perfectly balanced, nice color… everything we love about beer!
Thanks to everyone that came out last night to the Groveland Tap to help us pick! I know it was cold out, but we braved it like true Minnesotan’s to show our love for beer and friends.
Looking forward to the final qualifier event next week at 3 Squares. Yes, it’s in the burbs, but we’re hoping you can come out and join in the fun! Finals will be February 2nd… where we’ll throw a real wrench in the competition and all; but hey, who ever said being the Top Brewer was easy?
